In the last week we attended to the international conference ‘Dialogue experiences in space and time: interlingual and cultural-cultural practices’, which took place at the University of Alicante, Spain from 15 to17 of June.
During the conference, our team introduced three presentations:
1. “Political Participation in Polish Youth Organisations: Place for Open-ended Dialogues or Redundant Monologues?”, during which dr Celina Czech-Włodarczyk and dr Magdalena Cuprjak presented their own research results on political participation in six youth organisations in Poland. The aim was to discover whether these organisations conduct an open-ended dialogue or a monologue;
2. “A System of Opening and Closing in Heterotopias of Citizenship: The Discourse of Polish Youth Organizations”, during which the authors of the research – prof Violetta Kopińska and dr Klaudia Wolniewicz-Slomka – introduced their findings on the system of opening and closing in heterotopias of citizenship in six youth organisations acting in Poland;
3. “Exceptionality and exclusion: the discursive construction of nationalist communities of youth organisations in Poland”, during which prof Helena Ostrowicka and dr Klaudia Wolniewicz-Slomka introduced the results of their findings on community in nationalist discourse in two nationalist youth organisations acting in Poland in reference to Michel Foucault’s concept of heterotopia.
Below is a short photo-relation from the event – the representatives of the project during their speeches and at the University campus.
