Members of the project team at an international conference in Paris

On November 13-14, 2025, Professor Helena Ostrowicka and Dr. Celina Czech-Włodarczyk participated in the international conference on management and leadership, ECMLG 2025, in Paris-Nanterre. The researchers presented a paper entitled “Leadership Theories and the Activities of Youth Organizations – Interpretive Perspectives,” in a section chaired by Dr. Celina Czech-Włodarczyk. In their paper, the researchers presented research results on the activities of youth organizations in relation to selected leadership theories. In their paper, the researchers analyzed the roles and functions of youth organizations in Polish society, the goals and values ​​they promote, and their organizational structures. Integrating leadership traits and styles into the research results enabled the identification of examples of autocratic vs. democratic leadership in youth organizations. Interpreting the research results in relation to transformational leadership in the context of youth organizations showed how youth are inspired to act, develop autonomy and creativity, and build community and a sense of meaning.
