An article by members of the project team, Dr. Klaudia Wolniewicz-Slomka and Dr. Celina Czech-Włodarczyk, entitled “The Independence March, or the complexity and multidimensionality of this event from the perspective of Michel Foucault’s concept of heterotopia”, has been published in the journal Studia Edukacyjne. In their article, the authors presented the results of analyses of the Independence March from the perspective of four of the six principles of Michael Foucault’s heterotopia. The research has shown that the “Independence March” is an example of heterotopia, and what distinguishes it from other spaces with heterotopic features studied so far is its simultaneous variability and spatial stability, the range of impact, the multiplicity of ways of entering its space, and the significant function it performs, which results from its complexity.
