Another article by Juliia Lashchuk, a member of the project team, has been published in Journal of Applied Youth Studies, title:”Heterotopias of Citizenship as Spaces of Otherness: The Fluid Boundaries Between We and They”. The article analyses the discursive language of six Ukrainian youth organisations that appear as “their own” spaces, referring to Foucault’s concept of heterotopia. The aim of the article is to examine how these contemporary heterotopias are identified through the language used by their members, how the language used defines the space in which they function, as well as to look at the We-Them categories, their role in identity identification and determining boundaries between individual heterotopias.
