In the last week we attended to the international conference ‘DNC5ALED: Discourses and their impacts on a world of multiple crises’, which took place at the University of Valencia, Spain from 25 to 28 of July.
During the conference, our team introduced four presentations:
- „Equality, Poverty, and Nation: Discursive Construction of Social Issues by Youth Organizations Operating in Poland” during ‘Language and power: symbols, social practices and representations’ section – Prof. Helena Ostrowicka and Dr Klaudia Wolniewicz-Slomka;
- „Heteretopias of Illusion and Compensation: Citizenship Represantations in Discourse of Selected Youth Organisations Operating in Poland” during ‘Language and power: symbols, social practices and representations’ section – Prof. Violetta Kopińska;
- „Celebrating holidays as the example of heterotopias of time – social practices of youth organisations operating in Poland” during ‘Language and power: symbols, social practices and representations’ section – Dr Celina Czech-Włodarczyk and Dr Magdalena Cuprjak;
- „Narratives on Nationalist Youth Organizations in Poland: A Discourse Analysis of Press Articles” during ‘Language and power: symbols, social practices and representations’ section – Dr Klaudia Wolniewicz-Slomka.
Our research team at the international conference at University of Valencia, Spain
